Mix with BAC water

Recommended twice per day — morning and afternoon/evening. Stay on the lowest effective dose as long as possible. Increase only when necessary.

Timing & administration

Route

Subcutaneous

Preferred for slower, more sustained systemic effects. Use 0.3 mL / 30-unit syringes.

Alternate route

Intranasal

Preferred for rapid onset, especially acute anxiety. Crosses blood-brain barrier quickly but may require multiple daily doses.

Fasted administration

At least 1 hour before or after eating

Should be taken in a fasting state whenever possible for optimal absorption.

Cycle

4–6 weeks on, 2–4 weeks off

Follow with a 2–4 week washout period before restarting.

Quick Rules

  • Subcutaneous or intranasal administration.
  • Mix 10 mg vial with 2.5 mL (250 units) BAC water.
  • Cognitive enhancement: 6 units (250 mcg) to 7 units (300 mcg) once daily, morning.
  • Anxiety: 6–11 units (250–500 mcg) twice per day.
  • Use 0.3 mL / 30-unit syringes for subcutaneous dosing.
  • Take in a fasted state whenever possible.
  • Stay on the lowest effective dose as long as possible.
  • Cycle: 4–6 weeks on, followed by 2–4 week washout.
  • Intranasal: preferred for rapid onset; may require multiple daily doses.
  • Subcutaneous: slower, more sustained; best for consistent daily support.
  • Can be used alongside SSRIs and common psychiatric drugs.
  • Rotate injection sites for comfort and hygiene.

Possible side effects

While rare, side effects from Selank may include injection site irritation (redness, swelling, and/or itching); sinus irritation (with intranasal use); fatigue; nausea; headaches.
